    "Predictable Verification using Intrinsic Definitions," co-authored by CS professor Madhusudan Parthasarathy and PhD students Adithya Murali, and Cody Rivera, won a ACM Europe Council Best Paper Award at PLDI '24. The award recognizes authors of outstanding technical contributions to ACM conferences taking place in Europe.

    CS PhD student Adithya Murali , who is advised by CS professor Madhusudan Parthasarathy, will be joining the University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty as an assistant professor of computer science in January 2025.

    CS professor Eshwar Chandrasekharan will give the keynote address "Proactive Approaches to Promote Community Resilience and Foster Desirable Behavior Online" at Frontiers in Online Community Research on Sept. 13. The symposium is hosted by the Brian Lamb School of Communication, the Methodology Center at Purdue, and the Community Data Science Collective.

    CS alumnus Robert Pierce Warden (MS '60) passed away on August 12, 2024. Warden worked on the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Sky Lab, and Space Shuttle programs. He founded Programs Inc., which did contract engineering and high-frequency electronic prototype development. One of the devices developed there was the first wireless Cardiac Telemetry Monitor for Medtronics.
