Fifth Year Master's Programs

Accelerate your career by earning a combined Computer Science bachelor’s and master’s degree (4+1) in 5 years at the top-ranked Grainger College of Engineering. Complete two additional semesters right after your bachelor’s degree to gain a competitive edge. 

Third-year Grainger Engineering B.S. Computer Science students can transfer up to three courses (9 to 12 credit hours) between their bachelor's and master's degrees. This pathway offers an efficient way to enhance your skills, broaden your knowledge and improve your marketability to employers.

  • B.S./M.S. with thesis (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Master of Science in Computer Science)

Blended degrees (CS+X, X & CS, CS minor) are not eligible for 5th year master's programs, but may be eligible for guaranteed admission to the MCS program.
