Chirantan "CJ" Desai

Chirantan “CJ” Desai is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MongoDB. He leads MongoDB in its continued place as the go-to database platform powering AI, cloud, and real-time applications. He also serves on their board of directors. 

 

Previously, Desai served as President of Product and Engineering at Cloudflare, President and Chief Operating Officer at ServiceNow where he oversaw their platform, products, engineering, cloud infrastructure, user experience, and customer success. He also led enterprise-wide operations to ensure business rigor from innovation to execution. Prior to joining ServiceNow, Desai was the President of the Emerging Technologies Division at EMC, where he had full P&L responsibility for emerging technology products and focused on launching and growing new businesses. From November 2004 to September 2013, Desai held several product leadership roles at Symantec Corporation, including Executive Vice President of Information Management and Senior Vice President of Endpoint and Mobile Security. Desai began his career with Oracle Corp and was a key member of the team that launched Oracle’s first cloud service.

 

Desai has a master's degree in computer science and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
