Corly Leung

2024 Distinguished Alumni Service Award

Corly Leung is a 2017 Illinois Grainger Engineering Department of Computer Science graduate. She has been a software engineer at Google since graduation, after internships with Google, Groupon, and State Farm Insurance. While at Illinois, she worked with the department on outreach events for young girls interested in tech and in increasing the engagement of prospective college students with Illinois computer science students. With three team members, Leung built a web-based Where’s Waldo game with a capacity for social media sharing using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Leung says, “I am passionate about working for non-profits to expand their impact using technology. These are my ways of giving back to the community, meeting new people, and exploring new opportunities.”
