Mengjia Yan

2026 Early Career Alumni Achievement Award

Mengjia Yan is an assistant professor at MIT's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department and a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Before joining MIT, Yan earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she worked with Professor Josep Torrellas. She received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, China. Her research interests lie in the areas of computer architecture and security, with a focus on side channel attacks and defenses.
