Aniket Das, CS PhD, was granted the Department of Defense (DoD) National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellowship for outstanding achievements in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Das, advised by CS assistant professor Saugata Ghose, was selected from a pool of 5615 applicants. The NDSEG Fellowship program, established in 1989 by direction of Congress, is sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Army Research Office (ARO), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) under the Office of the Under Secretary for Research and Engineering.

CS professor Saugata Ghose was inducted into the ISCA Hall of Fame for reaching the eight-paper threshold.
