Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in computer science intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.
Section Description
Topic: Undergraduate Research Laboratory
In this apprenticeship-style, hands-on laboratory, students discover what it means to be a computational researcher. Students will learn to i) Pose testable research questions; ii) Write competitive grant proposals; iii) Create novel solutions using software and/or hardware; iv) Draw valid scientific conclusions; and v) Present and publish results, conclusions and other materials. This team-based undergraduate-only course requires the consent of the instructor.
