What are your interests within computer science?
I hope to help develop tools that minimize the burden and realize the electronic health record's promise. I also want to continue my observational data-based medical research with new skills in machine learning, statistical learning, natural language processing, and others.
How did you get interested in Computer Science?
I have long been a computer
What social interests matter to you?
Access to affordable medical care, health disparities due to social determinants of care, homelessness, and health literacy.
What is your most impactful iCAN experience?
Working together within a community of learners was wonderful and productive. iCan fosters collaboration and I now have a new set of lifelong friends.
What are your hobbies/outside interests?
I enjoy playing guitar, hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and playing with my grandkids!
