What are your interests within computer science?
Within computer science, I would say I am most interested in education and learning. I have a background in digital literacy. I also am interested in the role technology can play in Healthcare.
How did you get interested in Computer Science?
I've always been tech-savvy and fond of learning, and brought that with me wherever I worked. I was told once, while planning a hackathon for teens, that people like me often find that they've become
What social interests matter to you?
Over the years quite a few have mattered to me, and I made an effort as a teen librarian to be inclusive, particularly regarding race and gender. Issues of health, wellness, and mental illness have always been particularly important to me.
What is your most impactful iCAN experience?
I don't know if I have one specific one yet - the journey itself has been important to me. Dr. Williams and Dr. Gertner have frequently said to "trust the process," and that has stood out to be some of the best advice!
What are your hobbies/outside interests?
Gaming, crochet, pets, cooking
