Biography
Miri is a second-year CS PhD student at UIUC working with Professors ChengXiang Zhai and Jiawei Han. Her work focuses on AI for scientific discovery, such as novelty metrics for scientific literature, and computational creativity, such as the generation of creative hypotheses. Previously, she received bachelor's degrees in computer science and mathematics from UCLA. In addition to being an Amazon fellow, she is a Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crosswords, knitting, and translation.
