How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I think it was from my middle school Python classes in which I kind of got facinated by the aspect of transcribing lines into small games or software, leading me to explore by creating small games lke Chess. I eventually brought this passion to High School where I continued with my projects in Robotics, Data Science, and Machine Leanring.
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
I like the strong Computer Science programme at UIUC and choose Illinois based on that.
What are your passions outside of computing?
Outside of CS, I like playing badminton through the BadmintonForFun Club or with various friends, I like playing the guitar in my free time as well, and I also enjoy tutoring or helping my friends through classes that I share with them.
What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
The Orientation-related events on the week before classes allowed me to meet a lot of friends before school started which I think was cool.

Biography
My name is Binh Minh, and I am from Hanoi, Vietnam. I am currently starting my second semester of Freshman year, studying Computer Science. Along with my passion to dive deeper in my curiosity for different research topics, I like helping others in learning and tutoring. I look forward in being a participant of CS STARS!
