How did I get interested in Computer Science?
In 3rd grade, I coded an interactive birthday card for my friend using Scratch, a block-based programming language. Since then, I've been hooked on creating technology that can bring a smile to someone's face like that birthday card did.

Biography
My name is Helena Ilic, and I am a sophomore studying Computer Science at UIUC originally from Naperville, IL and interested in all things technology. In addition to CS STARS, I am a part of Women in Computer Science and Team Tech. Something that attracted me to computer science was the field's vast diversity, potential for positive impact, and ability to continuously learn something new. I love creating for change, engaging in human-oriented product design, and improving process efficiency through technology.
