Project Title

How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I've always loved problem solving and the feeling of getting the bottom of a mathematical problem. Ever since middle school I've been parts of both STEM and CS clubs like Girls Who Code and attending Hackathons, where I developed good friendships with people with similar passions. The intersection of creative and computational thinking felt natural when deciding on majoring in computer science and advertising.

What social interests matter to me?

Why did you choose Illinois?
I chose Illinois for not only it's recognized Computer Science program, but also it's large availability of resources and wide alumni network. Since coming here I've found such supportive communities at UIUC, and realised that Illinois was definitely the right fit for me.

What are your passions outside of computing?
Outside of computing, I'm a very creative minded person- I love creating art, listening to music, journalling, fashion, digital & web design. In my spare time I also love running, hiking and going to the gym.

Biography
I'm Lilly-Anne, and I'm currently a freshman studying Computer Science + Advertising. I'm from Hong Kong and Taiwan, but I've also lived in the UK and Singapore. Ever since middle school I've had a passion for problem solving, Computer Science and mathematics. In my free time, I'm either creating art, running, or getting coffee with friends.
