Project Title
How did I get interested in Computer Science?
My interest in Computer Science began in primary school during a computer class where we started using a language called Scratch to code small games. Then, I realized I could use computers to create anything I imagined, much like building with LEGO. This discovery sparked my passion for the field.
What social interests matter to me?
Educational equality is the interest that I cared about the most. I believe that everyone, regardless of gender, race, or nationality, has the right to an education. Education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming minds and lives, and I believe society must do more to ensure that its benefits are accessible to all.
What is my most impactful college experience?
My most impactful college experience has been joining the Orchid Research Group. Through this experience, I acquired skills beyond what is typically taught in classes and gained a deeper understanding of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and the research process.
These are a few of my favorite things!
Tennis, badminton, cooking, and playing Nintendo games.

Biography
Hi! My name is Linna Niu, and I am a junior majoring in CS+STAT. My research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, and I am currently working with Professor Brian Bailey's group to develop a platform aimed at improving the fairness of evaluation in group work. I’m an only child, but I have a cat named Sophia, who, despite her grumpy face, is the sweetest angel in the world!
