Project Title

How did I get interested in Computer Science?
My interest in Computer Science began during COVID when my dad, a fund manager, tasked me with compiling quarterly results for over 850 companies in Excel, running macros, and rating stocks on a 5-point scale. The repetitive and tedious nature of this task sparked my curiosity about automation, so I started learning how to streamline these processes with just a few clicks. That hands-on experience with technology gave me my first real taste of problem-solving, which led me to enroll in my first computer science class in high school. My love for problem-solving and mathematics found a perfect match in CS, and the satisfaction of discovering elegant solutions solidified my passion for the field.

What social interests matter to me?
I am passionate about diversity and inclusion in STEM, and the use of technology to make learning more accessible to underrepresented communities.

What is my most impactful college experience?
One of my most impactful college experiences was taking the Honors section of Multivariable Calculus (Calculus III) with Professor Charles Rezk. Initially, I struggled with the challenging homework and found it difficult to fully appreciate the material. However, Professor Rezk’s unique teaching style and the rigor of the assignments—especially the emphasis on understanding the proofs behind each theorem—transformed my approach to learning. Though I had a strong foundation in calculus from high school, this course pushed me to elevate my problem-solving skills and fostered a deeper, more analytical way of thinking. It improved my flow of thought, a skill that has benefited me in all my subsequent classes. It underscored the value of great mentorship and ignited a desire in me to approach every academic challenge with the same level of curiosity and depth.

These are a few of my favorite things!
I enjoy exploring cafes, playing tennis, listening to podcasts, and have recently gotten into reading!
