Project Title
How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I took my first programming class in middle school, but I wasn't sure if I'd pursue it as a major until I participated in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program in high school. There, I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the value of an accepting and diverse community to support learning. The attributes of Computer Science that I enjoy the most are problem-solving and the ability to improve people's lives.
What social interests matter to me?
Collaboration, volunteering, mentorship, diversity
What is my most impactful college experience?
I enjoyed connecting with current UIUC students during the Women in Engineering Admitted Student Luncheon. As I enter my first year of college, I look forward to meeting new people and conducting research in my fields of interest!

Reading, hiking, video games, vintage technology, and taking walks
