Project Title
How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I started exploring computer science in middle school by coding simple programs in Scratch using drag-and-drop blocks. I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to combine my long-held passion for math and creative problem-solving, which inspired me to take introductory computer science courses in high school and eventually pursue it as a field of study in college. I’m especially fascinated by the real-world applications of computer science in a variety of disciplines, and my current interests lie in the intersection of computer science, economics, and the broader social sciences.
What social interests matter to me?
Technology ethics, educational access, and environmental sustainability
What is my most impactful college experience?
My most impactful college experience has been joining student organizations my first semester on campus, specifically my business fraternity and dance team. Through my business fraternity, I was able to find a welcoming community of individuals who made my transition into college much easier and more fun, while helping me with my professional development and career exploration as well. As a member of my dance team, I found a way to stay in touch with my Indian culture and continue my passion for the performing arts. I'm grateful to be part of both organizations, and I hope to keep exploring new ones!
These are a few of my favorite things!
Running, dancing, photography, chai, & sushi!
