How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I first started coding when I was in my sophomore year of high school and I really enjoyed the challenge of solving hard problems step by step. This made me want to explore the field of computer science more deeply by learning more about AI and cybersecurity.
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
I chose Illinois because it has a great academic and social balance so I can get an amazing education and still have a great 4 years here.
What are your passions outside of computing?
I am really interested in statistics and math and outside of school I love to explore new places to eat.
What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
I really loved quad day and getting to see all the unique clubs at Illinois.

Biography
Arushi is a student major in Statistics & Computer Science that is from the Bay Area in California. She is passionate in using computer science to make a positive impact and has previously done research on AI ethics. Arushi aims to do more research that can be used to help people.
