How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I got interested in Computer Science as a freshman in high school when I was placed in an intro class I didn’t really want to take. My first goal was to make a dog spin—something that took way too many hours and lines of code, but when it finally spun, I was hooked. Since then, I’ve built a passion for Computer Science that I continue to nurture here at UIUC.

What social interests matter to me?

Why did you choose Illinois?
I chose Illinois for its balance of academic rigor and fun campus life—from Big Ten game days to an excellent Computer Science program.

What are your passions outside of computing?
I’m most passionate about women and girls access to an inclusive education, broadly accessible healthcare to all, and sustainability efforts! Outside of that, I am passionate about health and wellness.

What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
My favorite experience at UIUC as of yet has been joining an organization called MedLaunch on campus where we built a year long project to help children with disabilities improve their everyday life. It was a really impactful and fulfilling experience that I am exciting to do again this year!

What has been one of your favorite experiences as a CS STAR? (For Returning CS STARS)

What is my most impactful college experience?

These are a few of my favorite things!
I love to play volleyball, go for walks, listen to podcasts, and try new coffee shops.
