How did I get interested in Computer Science?
As a kid, I enjoyed playing with Scratch. When I got to high school, I took a computer science class and wanted to continue pursuing it in college.
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
As a kid, I was always interested in biology and nature, wanting to be outside and learn about animals. When I got to highschool, I became slowly interested in computer science, yet my passion for biology still lingered. When I saw that I was able to combine both of my interests in one major, I knew I had to apply. When I got in, it was easy to choose Illinois.
What are your passions outside of computing?
Art, music, crocheting, baking

Biography
I am a freshman majoring in computer science and bioengineering. I grew up in Naperville, IL. I have always had an affinity for biology and the life sciences, yet I slowly gained an interest in computer science through my high school classes. When I saw that I could combine both of my interests, I knew that this was the major for me. In the future, I hope to have a career in biotechnology or research.
