Project Title
How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I took CS courses in high school and fell in love with the idea of being able to creatively problem-solve and innovate within CS. I also became very intrigued by its interdisciplinary nature and being applicable in almost any industry.
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
I came to CS SAIL in 2023 when I was deciding to commit. The friendly and welcoming nature of everyone that day made me feel like I could see myself here. I remember they emphasized the collaborative nature of the CS community which really stood out to me.
What are your passions outside of computing?
I enjoy cooking, baking, painting, roadtrips, hiking, and playing badminton.
What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
I think my favorite experience has been being a part of the CS SAIL 2024 team in helping plan the same event that helped me choose UIUC the year earlier. It was a full circle moment for me and it felt so rewarding for me to be able to show prospective students and families what UIUC CS is all about.
What has been one of your favorite experiences as a CS STAR? (For Returning CS STARS)
One of my favorite experiences has been hearing from UIUC CS alumni. For example, hearing from Parisa Tabriz this past semester was really cool to see how her experiences at UIUC have shaped her career as a women in tech.

Biography
I was born and brought up in Naperville, IL. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and especially exploring new places in my free time. I enjoy doing DIY projects whether that's art or in my backyard. I also enjoy going on long walks to explore cities or even our campus.
