How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I got into a CS program at my school, and stuck with it! I was able learn about CS, which probably wouldn't have happened without it. Started with basic Python and HTML knowledge, but I found it really fun(when the programs ran).
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
Partially because it was close to home, but also because of the campus culture and great CS program.
What are your passions outside of computing?
I've always loved singing and playing the piano, especially in choir or Musical Theater. I also love to read, cook, and knit in my free time.
What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
I have loved the opportunities I have been given for learning and professional development so far. I also have been getting more and more involved in the CS communities, which has been great!

Biography
I am in my second year at UIUC as a CS major from Normal, IL. I am involved in a lot here, including: Phi Sigma Rho, Girls Who Code, Women in Computer Science, and (of course) CSStars.I also do a lot with the choirs here as well!
