Project Title

How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I believe my passion for Computer Science started when I attended a Girls Who Code workshop early in middle school. Even though I struggled with coding, I loved problem solving and the ability to code things like videogames. As time went by, I became deeply interested in coding programs and agorithms that could cause a real-world impact, helping people all over the world. I hope to continue exploring Computer Science through research.

What social interests matter to me?

Why did you choose Illinois?
I chose Illinois, not only because of its amazing computer science opportunities, but also because of its positive sense of community. Everyone that I've met here has been very supportive and kind, and the amazing school spirit made UIUC the perfect place for me to grow as a person.

What are your passions outside of computing?
Outside of computing, I'm passionate about ensuring access to technology for all communities. In high school, I taught coding programs at local libraries, helping students develop skills many of them otherwise wouldn’t have had access to. Seeing their growth through the program made me realize how important it is to make computer science education accessible to everyone.

What has been one of your favorite experiences at Illinois that you would like to share with prospective students? (For Continuing UIUC Students)
