How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I first got introduced to CS in middle school, and what I loved about it was the logical problem solving aspect that it carried. I continued learning more about CS through middle and high school, and was amazed by how broad of a field it was. I love CS because it combines that problem solving with creativity to develop powerful technologies.
What social interests matter to me?
Why did you choose Illinois?
I chose UIUC because of its stellar CS program and the amount of opportunities offered here. I also visited UIUC before I committed, and I absolutely loved the campus and vibrant culture here, so I knew it was where I wanted to attend college.
What are your passions outside of computing?
Outside of computing, I love playing guitar and exploring new places to eat.

Hello, I'm Anish! I'm from the Bay Area, California, and I'm studying Computer Science and Linguistics. I'm interested in developing technologies that serve people, and outside CS, I love travelling, playing board games, and meeting new people.
