How did I get interested in Computer Science?
Computer Science interests me because I enjoy using technology to solve real-world problems. After participating in Girls Who Code, competing in a Google coding competition, and designing a smart trash can, I realized I want to keep building innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact.

Biography
My name is Priya Thakkar, and I’m a freshman from the northern suburbs of Illinois majoring in Computer Science at UIUC. I plan to minor in Biology and am interested in building my knowledge between the two through real world applications. I hope to pursue a career in research or as a software engineer.
