How did I get interested in Computer Science?
I first started programming video games in scratch, a social networking block programming platform developed by MIT. There, I learned the fundamentals of programming and had a lot of fun! After that, I started programming robots to automatically play online games for me. When high school started, I joined my school's science research program and developed a computer science project every year, and presented it with a science fair, while collaborating with university mentors.

Biography
Hey, I'm Sage, and I'm majoring in Computer Science at UIUC. Last year, I worked with a Yale professor on identifying proteins impacted by heart disease, by using a Monte Carlo Markov Chain simulation and testing various optimization methods. I graduated from Amity Regional High School in Connecticut. In my free time, I enjoy reading the news, combing through sports data, and watching youtube videos about the subtle tricks athletes use to outwit one another.
