Graduation Message Submission
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to record a video message to this year's graduating students. Please submit it by using the embedded Box tool, below.
Filming tips:
Sound
- If you have a soft voice, speak loudly and clearly
- Film the video message in a quiet environment. Phone and laptop microphones are not the best at rejecting background noise.
Framing
- Do your best to make sure your camera is level with your eye height to have the most natural framing.
- Make sure to look directly at the camera on your phone or laptop.
- Don’t lean back or slump. Sit on the front edge of the seat, leaning forward just slightly.
- Make sure you are close enough to the camera that people can clearly see your face.
- Consider what your background is and choose one that feels appropriate to the tone of the video you are creating.
- If you are filming with a phone, turn your phone into landscape mode so it matches the widescreen layout of any other video content that might be included.
Lighting
- Use natural light. Try to position widows directly in front of you so that they are lighting your face.
- Avoid placing windows/lights behind you, but also make sure that your background isn't too dark, or your face may be overexposed (too bright).
