Illinois launches groundbreaking Chemical Engineering + Data Science program

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Siebel School of Computing and Data Science has helped launch a new undergraduate degree in the X + Data Science (X + DS) family of degrees to prepare students to lead society's digital transformation. The Chemical Engineering + Data Science (ChemE+DS) degree, in collaboration with the Grainger College of Engineering and the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, a unit within the School of Chemical Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is an innovative bachelor's degree program that combines the principles of chemical engineering with rigorous training in data science.
