Biography

While my academic journey thus far hasn't been punctuated by formal research experiences, I am currently engaged in an academic exchange program that is shaping my understanding of the broader implications of technology, particularly in the realms of susta inability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) management. In the context of this exchange, I am actively working on a seminar paper that delves into the relevance of
sustainability to employer branding, a topic that, while not directly within the rea lm of computer science, has provided me with valuable insights into writing seminar papers and understanding the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary challenges. In my exploration of computer science, I've gravitated towards the intersection of data science and machine learning. The mandatory course in Data Science during my second semester, followed by the immersive study of Big Data in my fifth semester, laid the groundwork for my appreciation of the power inherent in data driven decision making. My interest deepened further during the elective subject in Machine Learning in my sixth semester at Insper. The complexity and sheer potential of algorithms shaping inte lligent
systems captured my imagination, prompting me to explore the broader landscape of computer science research. This summer, within the University of Illinois's Summer Research Program, I am eager to channel my interest in data science and machine learning into a focused research endeavor. While my previous academic experiences have provided me with foundational kno wledge, I am open to exploring various areas within computer science during the program, recognizing that the summer research experience is a golden opportunity for intellectual exploration and growth. One potential avenue of interest is the application of machine learning algorithms in solving complex problems, particularly those with societal impact. The interdisciplinary nature of computer science allows for innovative solutions to challenges in field s ranging from healthcare to environmental sustainability. Given my current engagement with sustainability and CSR in the context of employer branding, I am intrigued by the prospect of leveraging data science methodologies to explore sustainable practices within the
technology industry. Moreover, I am keen on understanding the ethical considerations associated with artificial intelligence and machine learning. As these technologies become integral to various aspects of society, ensuring that they are developed and deployed responsibly is aspects of society, ensuring that they are developed and deployed responsibly is paramount.
