Getting to the Siebel School (Urbana)
Our Location
Interstates 57, 72 & 74 all intersect in Urbana-Champaign. There are also three international and two regional airports within a few hours or less to the campus.
Driving Here
The Siebel School sits on the northern side of the University of Illinois on the Grainger College of Engineering campus. There are three international and two regional airports within a few hours or less to the campus.
From the north (including O'Hare and Midway airports), take Interstate 57 south to Interstate 74 east. Exit at Lincoln Ave (183).
From the south, (including Lambert-St Louis International Airport), take Interstate 57 north to Interstate 74 east. Exit at Lincoln Ave (183).
From the east, take either Interstate 72 east to 57 north to 74 east, and Exit at Lincoln Ave (183); or take Interstate 74 east (including Bloomington-Normal Regional Airport) to the Lincoln Ave exit (183).
From the west, take Interstate 74 west (including Indianapolis International Airport). Exit at Lincoln Ave (183).
Transportation Options (O'Hare)
Information for ground transportation from O'Hare International Airport, Chicago, to the Siebel Center on the Urbana campus is below. Most public transportation options will get you to the Illinois Terminal near campus. Instructions for getting to the Siebel School from the Terminal are below. For transportation to your chosen hotel, please consult the bus schedules at the Terminal or contact a cab service or rideshare.
Ground Transportation*
Once at O'Hare, catch the Airport Transit System (ATS) at Terminals 1, 2, 3 or 5 to the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF).
Options at MMF:

Amtrak & Greyhound Bus:
Follow airport signs for "Trains to City" from Terminals 1, 2 or 3. Train Station is located in the basement level of airport. (If you are in Terminal 5, you will need to take the ATSTO Terminal 2 or 3 first, then follow signs.)
Board CTA Blue Line (Forest Park) to Clinton Stop (Chicago Union Station). Then:
For Amtrak:
From Clinton stop, walk north to Chicago Union Station, 225 S. Canal St.; approx. 10-minute walk to Union Station. Board Amtrak for travel to Illinois Terminal, Champaign.
For Greyhound:
From Clinton stop, walk west along Congress Parkway Service Rd, to S. Jefferson St, turn south and walk to W. Harrison St. Turn west to arrive at 630 W. Harrison St. Take Greyhound bus to Illinois Terminal, Champaign.
Illinois Terminal options to Siebel School:
- Rideshare (e.g. Uber or Lyft) and Cab service
- Mass Transit District (MTD) bus service; see signs for correct platform ($1 per ride; free with University of Illinois ID):

- To the Wright & Stoughton (NW corner) stop; walk east along Stoughton to Siebel School (approx. 5-minute walk)

- To University & Goodwin (SE far side) stop; Walk west on University Ave, turn south at Goodwin to Siebel School (approx. 5-minute walk)

UI Ride
UI Ride is an inter-campus shuttle service connecting Urbana-Champaign and Chicago to provide an affordable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation for the University of Illinois System faculty, staff, and students.
Routes run Monday through Friday, multiple times each day, and stop between the Siebel School and our Chicago Office at 200 South Wacker Drive. When booking, choose "Urbana-North parking deck B4" for drop off one block north of the Siebel School, and “Chicago-Discovery Partners Institute” for drop off in front of our Chicago office.

There is metered street parking available around the Siebel School. There is also a parking garage one block north of the school at 1201 W University Ave, Champaign.

The Chicago office for the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science is located at 200 South Wacker Drive, in downtown Chicago, Illinois. We are minutes from Union Station and public transit stops. The vibrant downtown scene is host to a number of easily accessible hotels, restaurants and famous Chicago sites.
Driving Directions
From the west, follow the Eisenhower Expressway (290) east into town, where it becomes Congress Avenue. Exit Wacker Drive and follow the signs that read Upper Wacker Drive. You will be driving north. The Chicago Office will be on your left just before Adams Street.
From the south, follow the Kennedy Expressway (90/94) west and exit on Monroe Street. Turn right (east) on Monroe and follow it to Wacker Drive and turn right (south). The Chicago Office will be on your right just after Adams Street.
From the north, follow the Kennedy Expressway (90/94) south and exit on Jackson Street. Turn left (east) on Jackson and follow it to Wacker Drive and turn left (north). The Chicago Office will be on your left just before Adams Street.
Public Transportation
The Chicago Office is located just two blocks from the Quincy brown line stop on the ‘El’ train and near several bus stops. For Metra users, Union Station is just across the river and Ogilvie Transportation Center is two blocks away. Union Station also services Amtrak trains, the Lincolnland Express and Megabus.

From O'Hare
