CS professor Volodymyr Kindratenko has received an inaugural Academic Excellence Award from Instructure, the maker of Canvas LMS. Kindratenko and team developed Illinois Chat. He was cited in the Innovative Tool Award for "pioneering a new era of education by empowering instructors to create AI teaching assistants."
