CS Ph.D. Shuyang Liu won first place in the graduate category of the ACM Student Research Competition at the 41st IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE 2026) held in Munich, Germany. Liu, advised by CS assistant professor Reyhan Jabbarvand, presented her paper, "Beyond Outcomes: Toward Process-Aware Software Agents." The ASE conference series is the premier research forum focused on automated software engineering. Each year, ASE brings together researchers and practitioners to discuss foundations, techniques and tools for automated analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of large software systems.
